Calendar of Events 2017 (updated June 9, 2024)

Boat-In Worship -- Sunday at 8:30am

Held every Sunday from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend in front of the Oakwood Resort in Conklin Bay. Come by boat or car. Dress is casual. Pets are welcome too.

The service is held on a large boat (The Lillypad) with a public address system. The Lillypad accomodates about 50 people (FREE attendance), the preacher, and the music group.

- Arrive by YOUR Boat: Bring at least one anchor (two anchors are better on a windy day)
- Attend on the Lillypad: Drive to FROG Tavern. Arrive by 7:30 am. The boat departs at 7:45 am.
- Arrive by Car: Drive to the Oakwood Resort property; bring lawn chairs.

Wawasee Yacht Club Regatta -- held every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Lasers and Sunfish race on Saturday mornings (beginning at 10:00am) and E-Scows and Lightnings race on Sunday mornings (beginning at 9:30am).


"Woodie" Boat Parade -- Weather permitting, on most summer Sundays about 20 vintage wooden boats parade around the lake shoreline (begins 10am and typically ends before 11am).

Lake Wawasee Fireworks (July 1) -- Saturday evening, July 1, 2024 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm

Note on fireworks for planning ahead -- Syracuse Lake fireworks are always on July 4th and Lake Wawasee is always on Saturday. But....
1) when July 4th is on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday, Lake Wawasee is the Saturday before July 4th
2) when July 4th is on a Wed, Thur, or Friday, Lake Wawasee is the Saturday after July 4th
3) when July 4th falls on a Saturday, then the Syracuse fireworks are on Friday, July 3 and Lake Wawasee is Saturday July 4

Lake Wawasee Flotilla Boat Parade (July 2) -- The flotilla parade is scheduled to begin at 12:30pm Sunday July 2, 2024 beginning at the Spink Condos and moving clockwise around the lake. The theme is “Disney on Wawasee". See this website for more details: www.wawaseeflotilla.com.

Ft Wayne Philharmonic (July 2)-- The Patriotic Pops lakeside concert will be held on Sunday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m. outdoors at Oakwood.  (In case of severe weather - the location will be Wawasee High School).

Syracuse Lake Fireworks (July 4)-- Tuesday evening, July 4, 2024 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm


Junior Sailing Program -- one and two week sessions held in July. There is a nominal fee. Contact the Wawasee Yacht Club at 574-457-2321 for more details or see this link
