Boat-In Worship -- Begins May 25, 2014 through Labor Day

Held every Sunday from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend in front of the Oakwood Resort in Conklin Bay. Come by boat or car. Dress is casual. Pets are welcome too.

The service is held on a large boat (The Lillypad) with a public address system. The Lillypad accomodates about 50 people (FREE attendance), the preacher, and the music group.

- Arrive by YOUR Boat: Bring at least one anchor (two anchors are better on a windy day)
- Attend on the Lillypad: Drive to FROG Tavern. Arrive by 7:30 am. The boat departs at 7:45 am.
- Arrive by Car: Drive to the Oakwood Resort property; bring lawn chairs.

Wawasee Yacht Club Regatta -- held every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Lasers and Sunfish race on Saturday mornings (beginning at 10:00am) and E-Scows and Lightnings race on Sunday mornings (beginning at 9:30am).

"Woodie" Boat Parade -- Weather permitting, on most summer Sundays about 20 vintage wooden boats parade around the lake shoreline (begins 10am and typically ends before 11am).

Ft Wayne Philharmonic-- Saturday, June 28 @ 7:30pm. The Patriotic Pops concert -- performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic-- will be at the Oakwood Resort. In the event of rain, the concert will be relocated to the Wawasee High School. There is also a children's art experience (Music in Color) during the concert.

Syracuse Lake Fireworks-- Friday evening, July 4, 2014 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm

Lake Wawasee Fireworks -- Saturday evening, July 5, 2014 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm

Note on fireworks for planning ahead -- Syracuse Lake fireworks are always on July 4th and Lake Wawasee always follows on the next Saturday. But when July 4th falls on a Saturday, then the Syracuse fireworks are on Friday, July 3 and Lake Wawasee is Saturday July 4.

Lake Wawasee Flotilla Boat Parade -- The flotilla parade is scheduled to begin at 1pm Saturday July 5, 2014 beginning at the Spink Condos. The theme is “Get Your Game On” in hopes to encourage the entrants of boats decorated in game themes like Monopoly, Candy Crush, Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, Beer Pong, etc.

Chautauqua Week -- July 7-11, Oakwood Resort

The program features recreational and educational programs in the morning, religious programs in the afternoon, entertainment and performances in the evening.  Most events will be held at the Oakwood Resort, and also includes a cruise on the SS Lillypad.  Day and week passes available for this exciting week. Junior Sailing Program

Cardboard Boat Regatta -- CANCELLED in 2014 due to lack on entrants -- July 26, 10am to 1pm at the Oakwood Resort. The first every cardboad boat race at Lake Wawasee. Compete for bragging rights. $50 entry fee benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. For more info:

Bike Ride: Tour des Lakes

Travel at your own pace on this leisurely bike ride, which travels around over 8 lakes -- Syracuse Lake, Lake Wawasee, Papakeechee Lake, Webster Lake, Tippecanoe Lake and several other small lakes along the way.  Between the lakes you will enjoy a beautiful ride across the countryside and through our quaint small towns. The tour rides are a 25k, 50k and 100k. Along the  way there will be SAG stops for a quick healthy snack and/or drink.   There will be a  Free Family Fun Ride around Syracuse Lake which is approximately 5 miles.  Hosted by Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, Syracuse Parks Department, Chautauqua-Wawasee, Syracuse Rotary and Wawasee Kiwanis.  Tour Des Lakes 2014 is proud to be sponsored by the K21 Foundation. Break Fest 2014: Aug 2 to Aug 6
