Boat-In Worship -- Begins May 25, 2014
Held every Sunday from Memorial Day Weekend
to Labor Day Weekend in front of the Oakwood Resort in Conklin Bay. Come by boat or car. Dress is casual. Pets are welcome too.
The service is held on a large boat (The Lillypad) with a public address system. The Lillypad accomodates about 50 people (FREE attendance), the preacher, and the music group.
- Arrive by YOUR Boat: Bring at least one anchor (two anchors are better on a windy day)
- Attend on the Lillypad: Drive to FROG Tavern. Arrive by 7:30 am. The boat departs at 7:45 am.
- Arrive by Car: Drive to the Oakwood Resort property; bring lawn chairs.
Since the Oakwood Resort is re-opening in the summer of 2013, the format of the event (using The Lillypad) may change.
Wawasee Yacht Club Regatta -- held every weekend from
Memorial Day to Labor Day. Lasers and Sunfish race on Saturday
mornings (beginning at 10:00am) and E-Scows and Lightnings race
on Sunday mornings (beginning at 9:30am).
Ft Wayne Philharmonic-- The Steel Dynamics Foundation Patriotic Pops concert -- performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic-- is a special concert usually scheduled around Independence Day. The concert is located at the Oakwood Resort usually late June or early July (more details to follow by June). In the event of rain, the concert will be relocated to the Wawasee High School.
Antique & Classic Boat Show -- Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the Oakwood Resort. Public display and judging is from 1pm to 5pm at the Oakwood pier. Also, you are likely to see some of the antique boats parading around the lake Saturday and Sunday (June 28th and 29th).
Syracuse Lake Fireworks-- Friday evening, July 4, 2014 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm
Lake Wawasee Fireworks -- Saturday evening, July 5, 2014 -- starts at dark, usually around 10pm
Note on fireworks for planning ahead -- Syracuse Lake fireworks are always on July 4th and Lake Wawasee always follows on the next Saturday. But when July 4th falls on a Saturday, then the Syracuse fireworks are on Friday, July 3 and Lake Wawasee is Saturday July 4.
Lake Wawasee Flotilla Boat Parade -- The flotilla parade is scheduled to begin at 1pm Saturday July 5, 2014 beginning at the Spink Condos. The theme is “Get Your Game On” in hopes to encourage the entrants of boats decorated in game themes like Monopoly, Candy Crush, Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, Beer Pong, etc.
If you do not wish to enter a float, there are additional prizes for the best decorated pier. Junior Sailing Program -- one and two week sessions held in July. There is a nominal fee. Contact the Wawasee Yacht Club at 574-457-2321 for more details or see this link:

Break Fest 2014: Aug 2 to Aug 6
Break the Grey will be hosting their second annual summer camp called Break Fest 2014! It will be from August 2nd through the 6th at the Epworth Forest Conference Center in North Webster, Indiana.
