Weekly rentals typically begin Friday at 6pm; checkout is Friday at noon. However, the schedule is somewhat flexible.
RESTRICTIONS: Weekly rental rates are subject to restricitons as outlined in the LEASE AGREEMENT. Failure to comply with the restrictions may result in a deduction from your security deposit; amount deducted subject to owner's discretion.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS -- 100% refund within 45 days of arrival. See LEASE AGREEMENT for details.
SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIRED -- $500. See LEASE AGREEMENT for details
PAYMENT -- Rental and Security Deposit Payable by Check to confirm you reservation. See LEASE AGREEMENT for details.

2011 Season:
Families who have previously rented get priority in selecting dates; they have until Jan 30, 2011 to finalize reservations for this season.
On Feb 1, 2011, I begin finalizing reservations from new clients. Priority for new clients is based on the earliest date an email reservation request was sent.
LEASE AGREEMENT FOR RENTING PIER 121, LAKE WAWASEE

FACILITIES -- GUESTS agree to use the premises in a careful and proper manner and not cause damage to the property. At the end of this lease period, GUESTS will vacate the premises on time and leave the propery in as good condition as the beginning of lease period, except for usual wear and tear.
UTILITIES:
a. OWNER shall pay for natural gas, electric, sewer, normal trash
pick-up (once per week), local phone service, & lawn maintenance.
b. GUESTS agree to prudently use utilities.
RESTRICTIONS -- rental rate & security deposit are based
on compliance with the following; failure to comply with these
restrictions may result in deductions from the security deposit
(deducted amount subject to OWNER's discretion):
a. No pets.
b. Maximum of 8 guests (adults and children combined) staying
overnight.
c. Maximum of 16 guests on the property during the day (9am to 9pm)
a. No subletting.
d. No loud music anytime
e. No access to garage storage area
f. No campfires, fireworks, tents, campers, or recreational vehicles
g. Maintain Evening "Quiet Time" from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am
REFUND POLICY:
a. Cancellations 45 days before scheduled arrival: 100% refund
b. Cancellations within 45 days of scheduled arrival : No refunds unless a replacement
rental of the same (or higher) dollar amount is found.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: settlement & return of deposit within 2 weeks
after premises are vacated:
a. Damaged items charged at cost to repair; no deductions for
normal wear and tear.
b. Items which can't be repaired or missing items will be charged
at replacement cost.
c. The trash disposal company requires a fee on some items (car
batteries, tires, lumber with exposed nails, bulky items, etc.).
Any special fees incurred by GUESTS will be deducted.
d. Long distance telephone calls will be deducted from security
deposit.
e. Failure to comply with RESTRICTIONS (noted on this page) may
result in deductions as deemed appropriate by the OWNER.
GUESTS PROVIDE:
a. Sheets & pillow cases for beds
b. Dish towels, bath towels & washcloths
c. Phone credit card for long distance phone charges (or call home
collect)
d. Bath/hand soap, dish-washing detergent, & laundry detergent
e. Replenish paper towels and toilet paper as needed (initially stocked)
f. Insurance on GUESTS' personal property and belongings
g. Daily & weekly cleaning as needed by GUESTS during their stay
h. Orderly appearance of surrounding grounds and premises

-Cottage Addition: 2 twin beds (38"x72")
-Pillowcases (pillows & blankets provided)
-Bath towels & washcloths (dish towels provided)
-Phone credit card for long distance phone charges (or call home
collect)
-Bath/hand soap and dish-washing detergent
-Insurance on guests' personal property and belongings
-Daily & weekly cleaning as needed by guests during their stay
-Orderly appearance of surrounding grounds and premises
Other things for guests to bring:
-Bottled water (if you don't like the taste of conditioned
well water)
-Paper towels & toilet paper (dispensers are initially stocked;
guests re-stock as needed)
-Disposable plates, cups, & utensils (if you don't plan to
do dishes by hand)
-Garbage bags
-Your favorite flag for the flagpole on the lake pier
-Water shoes are not required for wading, but provide an extra measure of protection
from occasional zebra mussels, whose shells can cause minor "paper cuts"
on tender feet.
Directions to Pier 121, Lake Wawasee:
a. Take SR 13 to Syracuse, IN
b. Coming from the South, in Syracuse, turn right at the Dairy Queen (3rd traffic light) onto Pickwick Road (heading east). Coming from the North, in Syracuse, turn left at the Dairy Queen (2nd traffic light after crossing the railroad tracks) onto Pickwick Road (heading east).
c. Continue on main road (do not cross railroad tracks) past Wawasee Boat Company to next intersection (Warner) --about 2 miles from Dairy Queen.
d. Turn right on Warner Road; continue past Eli Lilly Estate to "Spinks Condos".
e. Turn right on Seth Ward Road. (Note that the landmark "Spinks Condo" is located at the intersection of Seth Ward and Warner Road)
f. Seth Ward will turn into (at the first 90 degree left turn) Ogdon Point Road; continue for about 1 mile to Sunrise Drive
g. Turn left on Sunrise Drive. Continue about .25 mile to Sunrise Beach entrance, which is marked by a circular turn-around and brick pillars
h. After passing the brick pillars, the Messmer cottage is Pier 120, which is the 6th cottage on the right. The rental cottage (Pier 121) is the 7th cottage on the right.
